Duhaime's Legal Citations

YJIL - Yale Journal of International Law

Related Citation: Yale J. Int'l L.

Started off in 1974 as the Yale Studies in World Public Order, volumes 1-6, 1974 to 1980; as Yale Journal of World Public Order, volumes 7 to 9, 1980 to 1983, and since 1984, the current title, the Yale Journal of International Law.

The Yale Journal of International Law, for a time, deferred to the archaic Bluebook style legal citation Yale J. Int'l L. but now (as of 2012) prefers and promotes the public domain-style citation of YJIL.

According to the publisher Yale Law School website circa February of 2012:

"The Yale Journal of International Law (YJIL) is one of the world's preeminent international law journals.

"YJIL publishes articles, essays, notes, and commentary on a wide range of subjects in the fields of international, transnational, and comparative law on a biannual basis."
