Ves. - Vesey Junior's Chancery Reports (England and Wales)
Forming part of the English Reports, Volumes 30 to 34.
Law report on the judgments of the High Court of Chancery.
Original set was published from 1789 to 1817.
The Ves. series followed Cox (1783-1796) and was itself followed by Ves. & Bea. (1812-1814).
William Holdsworth, in A History of English Law, Vol. 13 (London: Methuen & Co. Ltd., 1952, page 431), quotes Lord Campbell in saying this of Vesey:
"Vesey was ... good-natured, honest and painstaking but dull. he wrote his notes in shorthand which will never produce good reporting."
