U.S.C.A. - United States Code Annotated (United States)

The United States Code Annotated is a familiar and often used abbreviation within Westlaw law reports and products, since the publication belongs to Westlaw.
By adding annotations throughout the version of the United States Code, the annotated statute as a package, is firmly protected by US copyright law.
Indeed, rather than cite U.S.C., as the proper legal abbreviation for the United States Code, Westlaw law reports defer to the U.S.C.A. abbreviation as, of course, it supports sales of their product.
Westlaw's product description for the USCA, as of May 20, 2010:
"United States Code Annotated (USCA) combines the official text of the U.S. Code with relevant cases, historical notes, indexes, cross-references, and other annotations. A point of entry to the entire West research system, USCA also includes the U.S. Constitution (annotated), selected Code of Federal Regulations provisions, presidential documents, and federal court rules."
For more on the massive American statute itself, see Legal Definition of United States Code for which U.S.C. is the proper legal abbreviation.
