UMLR - University of Miami Law Review

Related Citation: U. Miami L. Rev.

Previously, the Miami Law Quarterly.

The apparently preferred, contemporary legal citation of University of Miami Law Review.

As of January, 2012, the publisher, University of Miami School of Law, referred to two different legal citations on the University of Miami Law Review's website (http://www.law.miami.edu/studentorg/miami_law_review): the more traditional, but increasingly archaic "Bluebook" style, U. Miami L. Rev., and UMLR.

It is likely that UMLR or U.M.L.R. will emerge as the legal citation of choice for the University of Miami School of Law's law journal given that it is in keeping with the public domain citation format.

According to the publisher:

"Founded in 1947 as the Miami Law Quarterly, the University of Miami Law Review is a quarterly legal journal committed to publishing articles of interest to legal scholars and practitioners.

"Composed of four separate issues published in the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, the Law Review publishes one volume per year. One issue consists of pieces analyzing the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals (fittingly named the Eleventh Circuit Issue).

"The Law Review also hosts an annual live symposium at the University of Miami School of Law."
