S. Ct. - Supreme Court Reporter

Related Citation: U.S.

West's United States Supreme Court Reporter.

Essentially, a duplicate of the content of the U. S. law reports. However, the U.S. law reports are notoriously slow in issuing volumes so for most recent cases, S. Ct. is often the source and legal citation of choice.

According to Westlaw, the publisher, the Supreme Court Reporter:

"... covers opinions and decisions from 1882 to date issued by the United States Supreme Court".

The series now runs some 200 volumes numbered consecutively since 1882.
