Phillimore Reports were originally published in three volumes between 1818 and 1827:

• Volume 1: cases of the Ecclesiastical Courts from 1809-1812
• Volume 2: cases of the Ecclesiastical Courts from 1812-1818
• Volume 3: cases of the Ecclesiastical Courts from 1818-1821

Later re-published as part of the English Reports, Volume 161.

In one now-amusing extract, at 3 Phill. Ecc. 155, the Court, in 1778 Grimbaldeston v Anderson, was taken by a case of libel in the context of an application for nullity of a marriage on the grounds of alleged impotency. The court rejected the application adding:

"The inspectors ... could only say it appeared soft and short which does not always continue."
