Lewin - Lewin's Crown Cases Reserved (England)

Forming part of the English Reports, Volume 168.

Published from 1822 to 1838.

Also sometimes referred to as Lew. C.C.

Gregory Lewin, a criminal lawyer as well as law reporter, has the dubious distinction of having been called out by a justice of the courts, Justice Blackburn, as an inaccurate reporter.1

But Blackburn may have been a jealous ol' stooge. Gregory Lewin can, after all, claim as legacy his star role in John Leycester Adolphus's poem, The Circuiteers.
