Fost. - Foster's Crown Cases (England)

Forming part of the English Reports, Volume 168 although, regrettably, the version in the English Reports omits Part II, Discourses (see below).

Cases covered the period of 1743 to 1761.

Foster published the first edition in 1762.

The preface to the 1809 Third Edition:

"A report of some proceedings on the Commission for the trial of the rebels in the year 1746 in the County of Surry (sic); and of other Crown cases; to which were added discourses upon a few branches of the Crown law.

"By Sir Michael Foster, Knight, sometimes one of the Judges of the Court of King's Bench, and Recorder of the City of Bristol.

"Sir Michael Foster's work is in three parts, namely Part I (pp. 1-180), the Report; Part II (pp. 181-412), the Discourses; (and) Part III (pp. 413-441), the Appendix."
