Chronologically, the D. &. E. law reports, as regards the Court of King's Bench, followed the Douglas' King's Bench Reports and was itself followed by East's Term Reports, King's Bench.
Republished within volumes 99-101 of the English Reports law report series.
One of the editions of D. &. E., carried this modest preface:
"In a work of this kind all that can be expected is accuracy; to polish and digest properly requires long time and much labour."
In Curiosities of the Law Reporters, the author writes of Durnford & East's Term Reports, King's Bench:
"For care and accuracy of finish, and a matchless propriety of style, which they everywhere maintain, these reporters have never been surpassed."
