Publisher was The American Law Book Co. of New York.
Succeeded the popular Cyclopedia of Law and Procedure (also edited by William Mack).
In 1936, the shelf life of Corpus Juris was ending and and the publication was itself succeeded by the second edition to which the publishers gave the name Corpus Juris Secondum - C.J.S.
